Xuejing (Jing) Fan, MA, LLMSW

Jing is a Master’s level Social Worker. She received her Bachelor’s degree in English from Beijing Foreign Studies University, and her Master’s degree in International Multimedia Journalism from the University of Bolton. After working for several years as a freelance photojournalist, university instructor and translator, she moved to the US to pursue her dream of working with incarcerated clients and trauma survivors, receiving her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Connecticut.

Jing has several years of experience working in trauma, particularly with rape and sexual abuse victims, and has a deep interest in working with clients suffering from antisocial personality disorder, borderline personality disorder, and narcissistic personality disorder. She offers guidance to those adjusting to the emotional and physical legacies of abuse, and is expertly trained at assisting individuals struggling with reintegrating into society after incarceration. She believes that adversity delivers both compromises and opportunities to each client, and she addresses this by identifying client strengths and actively pursuing changes in behavior that create meaningful, long-term improvement. She believes the future is what each of us makes of it, and is proud to assist clients in walking the path of change and growth.

Jing has primary language fluency in both Mandarin and English, and is accepting Chinese clients at this time.
