TJ has professional experience treating the transgender population for over 9 years and has treated approximately 225+ transgender/gender non-conforming/gender expansive clients. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. He received his Masters of Social Work from Grand Valley State University in 2007. TJ has worked at various levels of service from residential, case management, and outpatient. He provides education and training to healthcare professionals to build more transgender inclusive service environments and speaks at universities to educate students about the transgender population.

TJ's primary passion is working alongside transgender/gender expansive individuals. Support ranges from exploring gender identity/gender expression, coming out, social transition, physical transition, navigating the healthcare system, grief/loss during exploration/transition, gaining support, and navigating relationships. TJ is a transgender individual who started his own physical transition in 2009. He brings personal and professional experience to the education, training, and therapy he provides. TJ also specializes in other areas of LGBTQIA, addiction, adjustment issues and has experience with anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders. He believes the therapeutic relationship is very important. He works to build trust by providing a safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment.

Cash pay rate for those with out-of-network coverage is $150/session
